COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) Prevention Practices for City Gates Ministries

In response to the March 23rd telecast of Governor Inslee’s call to the “STAY HOME order to State of Washington Coronavirus outbreak,” the following changes will be made immediately to ensure City Gates Ministries is following the safety and protection orders issued.

As of March 24th, 2020, City Gates will shut down the following ministry operations
• Thursday night “Street Lights”
• Saturday Furniture Ministry
• Saturday clothes sort and truck re-stock
• Sunday financial assessments

DONATIONS OF CLOTHES, FOOD, DETERGENTS, ETC. WILL STILL BE ACCEPTED THROUGH OUR WEBSITE OR HOT LINE (360) 705-0291. ARRANGMENTS FOR DROP OFF WILL BE MADE ACCORDINGLY

Food Delivery

CITY GATES EMERGENCY FOOD AND COMODITY DELIVERY WILL OPERATE ON AN EMERGENCY NEED ONLY AND WILL CONTINUE UNDER THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES

A presidential declaration of a State of Emergency or a USDA declaration of a Situation of Distress would allow WSDA to utilize alternate procedures for Household Distribution of TEFAP foods.

People who fit the category of food and commodity emergency assistance as follows:

When setting up a delivery client will be asked if there is any illness in the home.

City Gates is developing protective measures for vulnerable populations, such as home delivery to seniors.

City Gate Ministries reassures our mission is to reach out to help anyone in need and will practice our mission keeping in alignment to our faith in the name of Christ.

In these uncertain times we are facing City Gates Ministries will be available to anyone in need but will follow guidelines that will ensure each individual asking for assistance is getting their needs met without discriminating or enabling their current situation.
